Calling It A Day

Yesterday, the Company that I work for completed 9 years since incorporation (though it actually came into existence some months later). 9 years is a long time, especially when as intense as it has been.

And we have come a long way in these years, from starting with 5-6 people in a 1,000 sqft office to now ~17,000 people across 50 locations. From being nobodies to being the toast (and sometimes roast) of town. I, for one, would trade it with none other, given the company that I have enjoyed here, young men and women giving it their all for an entity that is not physically there but binds together most of us, the company(-ies) @OfBusiness and @Oxyzo.

And on this day, I decided that I should do something that will make me remember this day forever. So, will call it a day and pull the curtains of my Sunday post. It was great when it lasted, a few weeks back I completed 7 years of writing, almost 360 posts, with not a single Sunday missed. And I still remember that if I ever crossed 9 AM for posting on a Sunday, I’d start getting calls to check on my health.

It was fun too; many knew me and the companies by the Sunday post than what we as entities were. Some thought we were a content writing organization too  And the linkage with sports, movies and current affairs to happenings at the company were my personal favorites.

It was exciting too; I didn’t know what the post would contain till every Sunday morning. My favorite activity for the week, albeit for 15 mins only.

To some it was informative too, the posts were built from experiences, both heady successes and dampening failures at work.

It was nostalgia for sure, I still remember the first one was titled, “When you know you are onto something”, way back in late 2017. And a lot of later ones dated back to old memories.

But all good things had to come to an end, and so did this. Thanks for reading and writing back, many many times. I truly enjoyed being out there. Until again!
