These minerals are found in underground deposits, which are formed by the evaporation of ancient sea beds. KCI is one of the most important chemicals used in the processing of potash. The extraction of potash involves several steps, including mining, milling, and processing. In the mining phase, large machines are used to extract potash ore from underground deposits. The ore is then transported to a milling facility, where it is crushed into small pieces.

KCI is often used as the leaching agent in this process, as it can dissolve a wide range of minerals and metals.
