A (war) cry for that high

War cries drive adrenaline and passion to push us beyond our limits. There are 4 re-count through stages of life that have filled in my mates and me whether uttered in silence or in words.

As a kid, it was He-Man. He goes “By the power of the Grayskull, I have the powerrrrr…”. He and his surroundings, then, transform to super heroes. If it worked for He-Man, it’d work for me: I kept doing it secretly before events. It still gives me the chills.

Next was Kharagpur. Like many before and after me, I came of age there. Whenever a team of/ in the campus is at it, the lead would ask aloud, “Kgp (or the team) ka Tempo…?”. Pat came back louder, “High Hai”. Ask a Kgpian and he would have shrilled his lungs (and thrilled his heart) no end with it. 

We, at OfBusiness, have our very own war cry, which has evolved from a whimper to the omnipotent “Killllll… it”. It’s a slogan to push boundaries and go for it, come what may. 

“Uri: the surgical strike” is next. Vicky Kaushal creates magic in his commandos with his, “How’s the josh”, and the chest thumping “High, Sir” follows. It drives them to madness in the enemy camp: willingly, spiritedly. Not for reason, it’s viral; even PM Modi uses it.
