Yeh life me kuchh karega

An excerpt from one of the recent pre-placement talks at a MBA campus that we went to…

1957: A non-congressman makes it to lok sabha, and thunders it with contrarian, literary speeches on issues ranging from Kashmir to industrialization. Nehru predicts that he will be PM one day: 40 years later Atal Bihari is sworn in.

 1975: An infant refuses stubbornly to pick thrown money from Jaichand; the later’s boss predicts that he is a “lambe race ka ghoda”. Some years later, Vijay lords over Mumbai mafia (“Deewar”).

 1992: A teenager smashes the fast Aussies all over Perth. Hughes predicts to Border, “this little prick’s going to get more runs than you, AB”. Tendulkar overtakes Lara 15 years later, still alone at the top!

You get that feeling, even when not looking for it, “yeh life me kuchh karega”. Some blow you away with passion, some with knowledge, some with communication, some with intellect, others with natural talent: reasons may differ but you can’t stop feel, “yeh life me…”.
