The DEF in Factories
The DEF in Factories!
Some of us are gifted, some lucky too that we convert His gift to success but a very select some converts way too often. They are factories of success.
Not the best cartoonist of his time, he brought them under one roof, introduced digital animation and is credited with most technical innovations at motion pictures. Be it ’30 s (8/10) or the last decade (9/10), they’re prolific at academy awards and are an enterprise worth $150B+. Disney (D) is the factory for animation.
Edison (E) is the factory for inventions. He has 1,000+ to his name and is a towering influence on communications, power, and entertainment. A brilliant scientist, he converted scientific research into a factory at Menlo Park through principles of mass production and teamwork.
Ford (F) was neither the first automobile nor its inventor. He merely was its first factory. Fordism’s basic tenets of production and labor management drove a rich man’s hobby to common man’s utility.
DEF always had an idea: but they changed their and a billion lives by moving the needle from art to science to factories. It brought in perfection with “mass” utility at “mass” cost.
Being a factory is a mindset. DEF executed it by a DEF approach –
1) Discipline,
2) Efficiency through tech and,
3) Fantastic teams.
DEF are values that we aspire to build at “factory to-be” OfBusiness. Touchwood, one day we will be one of them.
