• MS ERW prices for major brands range from Rs. 67-68/kg, while secondary brands range from Rs. 63-64/kg (YST-210 grade). YST-310 is Rs. 2/kg higher. Expect prices to decrease due to raw material costs. Ductile Iron Pipe prices are steady but facing downward pressure, with 100mm K7 DI Pipes priced at Rs. 1,200-1,220 (within 800 km). HDPE is at Rs. 124/kg, while PVC decreased by about Rs. 4/kg.

Demand and Supply

• Ductile Iron Pipe manufacturers face challenges with overbooking and capacity utilization, causing reluctance in providing rates for shorter deliveries. Larger-diameter Pipe orders increase as new monthly production fills gaps, while lead times for MS-Spiral Pipes widen due to delays in raw material supply and unpredictable rolling schedules. Despite sizable orders, longer delivery delays are expected.

• The Varikapudisela lift irrigation scheme in Andhra Pradesh receives approval from the Centre, including permission from the National Wildlife Board (NWB) for land exchange between the state government and the forest department to facilitate the project through reserve forest.

• Supply constraints persisted in the last quarter and continue into this one. Contractors should anticipate longer delivery times and plan purchases accordingly. Prices are expected to slightly decrease due to prevailing market conditions.
