• Ductile Iron Pipes (100mm K7) are available from various brands, priced between Rs. 1,200-1,220 for delivery within an 800 km radius. Primary brands offer MS ERW and MS GI Pipes with YST-210 grade at around Rs. 66-67/kg, while secondary brands are priced at Rs. 62-63/kg. YST-310 grade pipes are approximately Rs. 2/kg more expensive than YST-210 grade pipes. HDPE is currently priced at Rs. 124/kg, whereas PVC prices have decreased by approximately Rs. 4/kg.

Demand and Supply

• Due to overbooking and capacity limitations, DI Pipe manufacturers are being cautious in quoting prices for shorter deliveries. Additionally, larger-diameter Pipe deliveries have seen an uptick. Extended lead times for MS-Spiral Pipes result from delays in raw material supply from Coil and Plate manufacturers. Factories face irregular rolling schedules, and suppliers expect longer-than-anticipated delivery times, despite securing substantial orders.

News

• The Ferozepur Jhirka Ranney well project, costing approximately Rs 210 crore, has been successfully finished. It aims to offer clean drinking water to 80 villages and is set to be inaugurated soon, as confirmed by CM Manohar Lal Khattar in a high-level project review meeting.

• Supply challenges persist in the previous and current fiscal quarters, prompting contractors to plan purchases ahead to accommodate longer delivery times. Main categories experience declining prices due to market conditions, with projections indicating a modest further decline.
