Building a campus brand!

(5th-anniversary special)

OfBusiness turned 5 a month back. While our journey had many unique twists, there is one that we treasure the most. It’s our team: which has literally been built up from fresh campus recruits or ones with less than a year of experience. Apart from early founding team members and technical functions e.g., finance, risk, tech and collections, nearly all our business functions are built by them.

We call it the Management Trainee (MT) Program. We go to select colleges like FMS, IIFT, IIMR, IIMK, IIMI, IIM Kashipur, IIM Udaipur, IIM Trichy (and now a few NITs) and get to pick the very best. We are indebted to both students and placement staff at these campuses.

MTs never had anything to unlearn, they had no biases. With dreamy eyes and a passion to perform, they fit into our culture the best and went onto define what shape the culture would take thereafter.

Torchbearers for this success are our four 1^st batch MTs (pics attached). They not only built the confidence internally at OfBusiness that this is the way to grow but also inspired succeeding campus batches externally that if armed with the right ingredients, you could grow meteorically in the firm. Today, they lead our largest teams and businesses in less than 4 years.
