It's flu, it'll fly
Arguably, no sight can be more heart wrenching than young men and women, at the prime of their lives, rendered practically lifeless with no fault of their own. Swine flu is filling us with what we should fear the most: fear (of the flu) itself.
NCR is at war. More than 2,500 cases have been reported, inflicting more than 10x that number. At OfBusiness, ~25% employees have some form of flu and nearly 10 positive. To counter this fear, we need to demonstrate solidarity with action.
First comes prevention at scale. Measures are simple, any health info can tell you. We need to study them. Then, follow them. Religiously – in offices, at homes, on the streets and in all places imaginable. Finally, we need to spread the fight to one and all amongst us.
Second comes swift action. Inevitably, some of us will be hit by the endemic. “Rapid” cure cures all, be it medication or nursing care. Its available, as long as we seek it. But with cure, we need to give it the time to heal. Our bodies at rest are the best fighters against any condition.
Third comes belief. Not to panic. It’s flu, it’ll fly.
Yes NCR’s at war, no less. But we’ve fought bigger fears before: crimes against women and national peace. We’ve won bigger wars before.
