Out on the street

<< A dream that all in OfBusiness see:

The tyrannical villain enters a happy village on his horses. 
He ravages houses, loots, plunders and commits arson. 
Villagers rescind into their homes, distanced from each other. 
He threatens that he will be back and hence wants people to obey, surrender.
Fear grips the village. They stay back at home fearing the worst.
Scene repeats many a time.

Then comes a passerby, a commoner.
He hasn’t seen the fear. He wins a small fight against a couple of goons.
Word spreads.
The village unites. 
They know that they stand a chance if they all go together, full force.
Next time the tyrant is there; the whole village is at him.
Men with their sticks, women with their brooms, Children with stones.
Sheer numbers beat the savages, their guns and their horses.
Goons are slain. The village is happy again.

These scenes maybe straight from a Bollywood potboiler, but it represents us as a species.
We have always won when we have united, socially on the street.
We don’t stand a chance if we are divided at home. There we fear, we rot.

The fight against COVID-19 is also that. We will be the passers by when we get out to work, be it 20^th April or the 3^rd of May. And then, all will follow in dreaded numbers. For fear will cease to exist.
