VG 10 is for cold regions and spray applications. For expressways and bridges with heavy truck loads you'll want modified bitumen (PMB or CRMB).

What's fuel oil running?

Furnace oil (FO) costs ₹45-50/kg LSHS (Low Sulphur Heavy Stock) is ₹50-55/kg and LDO (Light Diesel Oil) runs ₹70-80 per liter. These follow crude oil with about a 15-day lag. Used mainly for industrial boilers furnaces and backup power in manufacturing plants.

Base oil pricing?

Base oil varies a lot by grade - Group I SN150 is ₹85-95/kg Group II runs ₹95-110/kg and Group III synthetic base is ₹120-140/kg. Lubricant blenders buy these to make finished products. Available from both refineries and importers depending on the grade.

How do petroleum product prices get set?

They follow crude oil (Brent/Dubai basket) plus refining margin taxes and freight. Oil marketing companies (IOC BPCL HPCL) revise industrial product prices every fortnight. Retail fuel prices change daily now. For bulk industrial purchases rates are negotiable based on volume and relationship.

What paperwork do I need to buy bitumen?

You'll need GST registration and a purchase order for credit terms. Provide vehicle details for delivery coordination. Bulk orders may need advance payment or an LC arrangement.
