Elation to Eye-opener
As a co-founder, fund-raising evokes many emotions. Somewhen you are early and some very different ones when you have done it many times.
At an early stage, you are elated.
- It’s proof that your business is working. And you took the right risk.
- It’s an achievement. You believe you have added to your resume.
- It’s a source of power. You can take up the world and competition more.
- You believe that you have made investors money by marking their investments up.
- Net-net, you want to celebrate.
At a later stage, you realize it’s merely an eye-opener.
- You realize the value of 100s who slog out for the common cause.
- Bigger bucks at a higher value is more responsibility to give better returns.
- You have to give back more to the ecosystem that has supported you in getting there.
- You realize that it’s a long journey and fundraises merely a milestone, albeit an important one.
- Net-net, you want to plan.
As we welcome SoftBank to the family and go back to the drawing board to plan, we as co-founders feel more responsibility, which we proudly accept for our OfBusiness family.
To the able shoulders of @Bhuvan Gupta @Ruchi Kalra @Nitin Jain @Vasant Sridhar. And those of team @OfBusiness, as we get back to slogging for the common cause.
